A lot of people use the word "anxiety" and the word "phobia" interchangeably.
There are differences in the two.The difference is this...
A phobia is where you are afraid of something and don't know why.
Anxiety means you don't know what your afraid of, or why.
Both can result in panic attacks, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and unable to function.
Hypnosis will teach you how to move past your unnecessary fears and most importantly, how to relax.
Here's an example of how it works...
Let's say you are going to speak in public and you have no experience doing this.
Most people, in this situation will have some fears come to the surface. We all have normal fears of speaking in public if we aren't used to doing it all the time.
We are taught, as children, to be afraid of talking to strangers.
We may have been taught, in school, not to talk in class.
Throughout adolescence, we may have been rejected for saying what was really on our minds.
All of these get tied together and you end up feeling anxiety as you approach the day where you're going to speak in public.
So, the day comes and you get up there and make your speech just to get it over with.
Your life goes on...and that is normal anxiety.
Now, on the other hand, if the day came and you were not able to overcome your fear and maybe you stalled around, having panic attacks and then showed up late so you wouldn't have to do it, then your anxiety is becoming a problem.
It's a problem because it keeps you from moving forward in your life.
Hypnosis will allow you to get to a safe and comfortable place and then teach you how to transfer that sate of being completely relaxed into your normal, conscious state.
You can sit in the comfort of your own home and go through these experiences of speaking in public, job interviews, etc.
This works because the subconscious mind does not know the difference between your "real" experiences and ones that are simulated, like watching a movie, or daydreaming, etc.
This is why dreams often feel like they really happened.
Using hypnosis for anxiety will also allow you to find the root causes of your fears which allow you to see why you are afraid and give you the opportunity to change your mind on a subconscious level.
This allows you to move forward in your life and meet challenging situations.
A major point...
Having anxiety does NOT mean you lack courage.
Courage cannot exist without fear. Think about it...it doesn't take courage to do something you're not afraid of. Courage is something we develope as we move through our fears into a state where we trust outcomes by haven taken certian actions.
It's about taking the action even though you are afraid. That is courage.
